Foot pain is NEVER normal!!
Pain in the foot is an indication that there is an underlying problem.
Pain in heel, 1st step in morning or after rest is usually an indication of heel spur or plantar fasciitis. Pain at big toe joint can be gout, capsulitis or early bunion deformity. It can be from ingrown nail. Pain under ball of foot can be sesamoiditis, bursitis, metatarsalgia or stress fracture.
Pain in area around nails (periungual) can be from ingrown nail or paronychia infection
Treatment always begins with a good diagnosis, often with x-rays, (our office has available digital x-ray) ultrasound, or arthroscopy. Treatment is usually NSAIDS, steroids, injections, physical therapy or bracing. Early noninvasive treatment can often times render you pain free and avoid complications.
Stop suffering from foot pain. Early diagnosis can often leave you pain free and avoid future complications.
